Yep, our side hustle. You know – the thing you do alongside your main gig because you are passionate about it, and it brings in a little extra support. While Casino Royale Charity Affair is LifeSight’s signature annual fundraiser, you could say South Dakota Gives is our fundraising side hustle!
South Dakota Gives is the official name of South Dakota’s Day of Giving, part of the global Giving Tuesday movement. Held on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving – nestled between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, two of the biggest consumer spending days – it was created as a purposeful “reset,” shifting the focus from consumerism to generosity and giving back.
LifeSight is proud to join hundreds of nonprofit organizations across South Dakota in participating in South Dakota Gives each year. It is an opportunity to raise funds, celebrate our missions, and spotlight the essential role nonprofits play in meeting basic needs and enriching lives. (And really – who would not be excited about that?) Every year, our South Dakota Gives fundraising “side hustle” takes on a new twist – allowing us to direct funds where they are needed most.
