This signature event blends lively entertainment with heartfelt purpose – raising critical funds to prevent vision loss and celebrate the gift of sight.
Vision Loss Is Preventable – and You Can Help
An estimated 80–90% of blindness is preventable with proper education and access to care. For over 30 years, LifeSight has been a driving force in the fight against vision loss.
“LifeSight’s mission is simple yet powerful: Vision. For All. For Life.” said Ronda Gusinsky, executive director. “Whether it’s a toddler who doesn’t realize their world is blurry, or an adult whose livelihood is threatened by untreated vision problems, LifeSight is here to bridge the gap in care that too often leaves people behind.”
A Party with a Purpose
Casino Royale is more than a fundraiser – it is a “Party with a Purpose.” As LifeSight’s only annual benefit, Casino Royale has raised over $350,000 in net proceeds, directly funding:
- Free children’s vision screenings to identify undetected childhood vision disorders early – before they impact learning and development.
- No-cost eye exams and eyeglasses to help low-income individuals see better to live better.
- Sight-restoring surgeries to enable underserved adults with severely impaired eyesight to regain their vision, independence, and livelihood.
- Scholarships for future ophthalmologists – many of whom have returned post-residency to practice in South Dakota communities.
- Innovative vision-related research into community eye care needs and children’s vision health.

Guests are immersed in a lively evening of casino-themed fun featuring:
